Cell Proliferation Inhibitor?

Cell Proliferation Inhibitor?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an inhibitor that will stop my cell culture from proliferating? I need it to not affect cell viability, as I need the cells alive for my experiments.

You could use a double thymidine block, which will inhibit proliferation for the duration of the block, but should have no other issues. Another option is cytosine beta-D-arabinofuranoside or 5-fluoro-2'-deoxyuridine, which both block DNA replication. Neither of these should affect viability or other cellular function, but you may have to do a little experimentation to find the optimum concentration.
