Such liposomal complexes proivide protection and induce highly efficient transfection of cargo molecules (medicines, pharmaceuticals, small moledule druds, DNA, RNA, proteins) into cells in vitro and in vivo. Altogen Services (http://www.altogenservices.com) offers encapsulation of any charged molecuIes into one of the standard liposomes (PC:Cholesterol, or DSPC:Lipid: PEG-Lipoid:Cholesterol) or into any custom liposome formulation. Sonication and liposome extrusion technologies are used to make liposomes of defined size (from 40 nm to 500 nm).
