The SK-N-AS cell line was developed by J.L. Biedler and is a hyperdiploid cell line with a modal chromosome number of 47. This cell line exhibit longer doubling times than SK-N-MC and expresses higher levels of dopamine-beta-hydroxylase. The SK-N-AS cell line is only distributed by the M[url]emorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center[/url=www.altogen.com] for research purposes.
